Well That Was A Weekend and a Half!

Lots of great stories and photos from the half & marathon training runs, ultras, 5 k’s, duathlons, charity bike rides, first September indoor swim workout and the 55+ Games all held this weekend….and new club suits too.  BMC peeps were on the go!

So with all that activity and the Run Into Fall Training Group (RI2F) heading into the final weeks before the big race we have some activities winding down and some just ramping up.  Stella has been busy updating the website and getting pool rentals and fees in order so keep your eyes peeled on the messages and check the website and/or Facebook site for updates as a few venues and details are still being confirmed.

That said Fall swimming at Acadia has started and a youth program will be available for teens in another week (Fridays in the pool for training 3:30-4:30).  The RI2F group will continue their track workouts and long runs with the goal races peaking at Thanksgiving before a rest period and then the preparation phases for the new year will get underway.  For those not focused on a fall race maintenance workouts and activities are ongoing.

So this week we have the following on the agenda:

Monday– 5 PM at Reservoir Park, Wolfville, come check out the new trails with off road mountain biking or trail running (I can arrange a mountain bike for those that need one.

Tuesday– 6:30 AM Track/6:00 PM Track (RI2F); 8-9 PM Swimming

Wednesday– noon-1 PM Swimming; 6:00 PM Gaspereau TT (10 km) – bring a toonie

Thursday– 8-9 PM Swimming
