It’s been a wonderful couple of weeks of training and racing. Kudos to Adam Dorrance and Meg Todd who both raced in the Tri Lobster event in Summerside on the weekend. Adam’s first draft legal race and the field was a little small to get the draft opportunities a larger field would have, but a good experience and lots of learning. He matched his previous PB on a slightly longer bike course :). Meg chose to do the non-draft legal and really took off in the swim coming out with the top men who had started earlier…she handily won the women’s overall and came second overall by mere milliseconds.
Lots of great photos from St Andrew’s bike portion and the run pics just starting to come. I think we are all still processing the experience. Anyone wanting a Race Evaluation form please let me know and I’ll email it to you.
It turned out to be a girls night out for BRIX last week…so great to rehearse for this week’s race at Lake Aylesford. Everyone is looking strong and ready! Last chance is this Thursday. I have an outline for this week’s workouts leading up to race day. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like me to email it to you. If you haven’t registered….what are you waiting for?
Tineke is organizing the hill workout tomorrow and I hope to see a crowd at Aylesford Thursday evening meeting at Acadia (already posted on FB.
