I’m sure everyone is enjoying some level of activity during this off season from triathlon. The weather has lent itself to some great opportunities for cycling, whether on the trail or on the road; and lots of great running so if anyone in the club has other informal workouts planned please feel free to post. WE could have access to mountain bikes for a group if anyone is keen to organize…just let me know – riding on the trails is a great aerobic workout!
I will be at Acadia for morning hip and glue strengthening workouts on Mon/Wed @ 6:30 am
Tuesday I’ll be coaching a run + strength workout at Acadia
Wednesday we are back at Banks Bikes for indoor cycling at 5:30 PM (drop in available).
Looking for someone to lead the hill running this Thursday as I’m on a road trip for a few days.
Friday 6:15 am run from Acadia – would like to let Kjerstin know who’s coming so message me at email@example.com.
Indoor cycling with outdoor run from Banks Bikes again next Saturday.
The BMC Executive have had a couple of meetings to work on some action plans for the coming year …namely securing our swim times. Now that we know that the Tuesday and Thursday morning time is a possibility (shared with Tritons) President, Jeff Knowles has agreed to approach Acadia to address the rental fees and lifeguard arrangements and to identify other evening and weekend times we can rent. We’ve set the AGM for November 25th – a Pot Luck Social at the home of Karen and Phil Outerleys in Centreville so definitely hope to have this all worked out by then so we can open up club memberships for the 2017 season. We’re looking for new board members (especially a treasurer and a registrar as Stella has moved to Halifax and unable to continue), so please think about joining the board ….. also looking for suggestions and welcome input from members for programming and events this coming year.
